*NEWS: Computer/Network Security Startup Raises $20 Million

A computer and network security startup has raised $20 million in a Series B round, according to news reports first reported by Reuters on February 26.

Obsidian Security, with HQ in Newport Beach, raised the funds in a round with participation by Greylock Partners, according to Reuters.

Other investors in the latest round include VC firm Wing, and GV, a venture arm of Google parent company Alphabet, according to those reports.

Obsidian Security was founded by former execs from cybersecurity companies Cylance, with HQ in Irvine, and Carbon Black, in Waltham, Mass. Obsidian will reportedly use the money for product development and to grow sales and marketing teams,

Glenn Chisholm is the co-founder and CEO.

Obsidian Security launchedin 2017 with $9.5 million in VC funding from Greylock Partners.
