*NEWS: E-Commerce Service Startup Announces Partnership

As the market continues the shift away from Do-It-Yourself (DIY) to Do-It-For-Me (DIFM), consumers across the globe are increasingly looking for convenient options when they buy products that require value-added services.

An e-commerce service startup, with HQ in Irvine, is capitalizing on that trend, joining in partnership with Bestop, a manufacturer of premium soft tops and accessories for Jeep Wranglers.

Buy It Installed announced the news in an August 12 press release.

Bestop customers will now be able to purchase select products with professional home installation, powered by the Buy It Installed button.

Bestop, with HQ in Boulder, has reportedly been the sole supplier of factory soft tops on all Jeep Wranglers for more than three decades.

Buy It Installed developed a simple, one-click ecommerce button that enables online consumers to purchase products with installation included.

Buy It Installed works with ecommerce, brick-and-mortar retailers, manufacturers and distributors to create a DIFM consumer experience for consumer electronics, smart home devices, computer hardware, plumbing and lighting.

At the heart of its tech platform is a form of AI, which the company claims can “accurately and appropriately” detect and respond to human emotions.

Hassan Archer recently came on board as COO.

His experience includes working with Fortune 100 companies—including Microsoft, Ford, Disney, Hulu, and PIMCO—and for high-growth startups to develop go-to-market strategies, organizational structures and tech roadmaps.

His roadmap for Buy It Installed is to bring its value proposition to market.

“A big part of that includes working hard to develop quality driven teams who are holistically aligned with our vision,” he said.

One of the challenges for startups is how quickly tech moves and evolves, he added.

“It’s important for us to continuously train and improve our team so that we’re investing in the long-term success of our business,” he said.
