*NEWS: OCTANe Brings 19 Companies to Meet Investors at J.P.Morgan Healthcare Conference in SF

OCTANe, a life sciences and tech accelerator, brought 19 companies that have gone through its LaunchPad accelerator in Aliso Viejo to meet investors at the 37th annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference, happening now in San Francisco.

Those companies are seeking close to $99 million, OCTANe CEO Bill Carpou told OC Startups Now.

Additionally, OCTANe received applications from seven other startups to participate in the accelerator’s next round. Those seven companies are collectively looking to raise $227 million. One of them – whom Carpou cannot disclose – is seeking $100 million.

The seven companies all cited “confidence and strong feedback” that OCTANe’s LaunchPad accelerator is “the go-to organization for raising capital and growing a business,” Carpou said.

Also, OCTANe’s growth services platform for LaunchPad graduates, “commanded strong interest from a wide range of companies as they seek to grow revenue and create new jobs,” Carpou said.
