*NEWS: EvoNexus Incubator Admits Latest Startup

EvoNexus, a tech incubator and entrepreneurial hub, recently admitted one startup to its Irvine portfolio. Final Wires will join a portfolio of close to 200 startups that have incubated at EvoNexus since the first incubator launched in San Diego in 2010.

Final Wires focuses on orthodontic detailing. To that end, it developed a set of “precision-engineered arch wires,” which are based on 3D X-rays and 3D dental scans. The goal is less work for the doctor, fewer visits for the patient and more accurate results – at a more affordable cost than traditional treatment.

Mark Batesole is the founder and president. He’s also the owner of Batesole Orthodontics, which he’s run for more than 18 years.

The startup, as all others that are accepted, will receive access to capital and strategic partnerships, long-term residency (up to two years), mentorship and class A office/dry lab space, as well as collaboration with other entrepreneurs.

Applications for the next round of EvoNexus Irvine close today. EvoNexus’ HQ is in San Diego.
