Brad Blanenship, CEO, Titan School Solutions

A software company that helps K-12 school districts streamline their school lunch programs has raised $5.2 million in a Series A round, according to a press release issued today.

Titan School Solutions said it will use the new capital for software development, as well as to grow its sales and marketing organizations to support the company’s expanding client base.

The company now serves nearly 1 million students across more than 150 school districts and 1,300 schools nationwide.

The raise was led by Wavemaker Partners and Springboard Ventures, with participation from RezVen Partners, a VC firm with HQ in Irvine.

CIE Digital Labs launched the startup earlier this year. CIE Digital Labs is an Irvine accelerator of innovation for large enterprises and a growth accelerator for emerging startups.

Anderee Berengian, who founded the accelerator, and Justin Choi, a co-founder and head of product strategy, joined Titan’s board of directors as part of CIE’s undisclosed investment in the startup.

Berengian is also a managing partner at RezVen Partners. Brad Blankenship is the CEO of Titan.
