NEWS: Tech Incubator EvoNexus Launches 5G Program in San Diego

The original EvoNexus incubator in San Diego is launching a 5G  program. EvoNexus is a tech incubator that takes an equity stake in the startups it accepts.

The original EvoNexus incubator in San Diego is starting this new incubator, with sponsorship by Qualcomm. Financial terms of the sponsorship have not been announced. (There’s also an EvoNexus incubator in Irvine.)

The new program will assist early-stage companies that are helping to build the wireless 5G ecosystem.

Qualcomm has been a longtime partner of EvoNexus. It directly invested in a number of its portfolio startups and acquired two of them.

EvoNexus said the program will be open to any early-stage venture that will “accelerate and leverage” 5G and AI, regardless of where the company’s HQ is.
