NEWS: VC Fund Focused on AgTech and Food Startups, Along With Global Biotech Company, Issue Million-Dollar Challenge

A VC fund focused on agtech, along with a global company that produces agrochemicals and seeds, have launched a challenge for startups with a total prize value of $1.25 million.

Radicle Growth, with HQ in SD, and Syngenta AG , with international HQ in Switzerland, are inviting startups focused on protein to compete, according to an April 28 press release.

Syngenta AG is and is a biotech company that conducts genomic research.

The challenge is seeking startups that investigate experimental protein sources or protein-conversion technologies, whose innovations could potentially lead the transformation from planted-based agriculture to regenerative agriculture.

The winner would get $1 million. And, the runner-up would receive $250,000.
