UPDATE: Greek Startups Coming to OC

Investors at EurekaFEST on April 28 will get the opportunity to hear pitches from three Greek startups that were chosen for the inaugural round of Accelerate Greece (see related story here).

JoinCargo, Pulse and Opinion and Bio CoS will be participating in a bevy of activities leading up to EurekaFEST. JoinCargo is a search tool for companies to book space in a truck. It’s based on the same principle as AirTickets, which displays available seats on flights from a variety of airlines.

Pulse & Opinion is a digital marketing and management agency that uses artificial intelligence to provide real-time imaging recognition and analytics. Bio Cos is a bioinformatics and computational science company.

They were selected by Accelerate Greece, a non-profit in partnership with the Hellenic Initiative, which focuses on entrepreneurship in Greece. Peter Polydor created the non-profit. The purpose of the joint effort it to foster innovation in Greece by supporting entrepreneurs.

The three companies will also get to pitch to investors affiliated with OCTANe’s accelerator, LaunchPad, and work with its mentors.

These companies will be featured at the first Accelerate Greece Innovation Night on April 24 at 6 pm at the Eureka co-working building in Irvine. It’s sponsored by Ergo Capital, Oxford Alumni, and The Hellenic Initative.

They will also be on hand doing demos at the OC Tech Happy Hour on April 25.
